The 2012 Analisse Chardonnay is complex and once again exhibits mineral characteristics typical of the Beechworth region. It has pear and peach characters and is balanced by quality French Oak. Bottle age will only benefit this wine. A fabulous wine to share in the terroir of the Beechworth region.
Classic Beechworth chardonnay characters with honey dew melon, almonds, minerals and fine integrated French oak. The nose is a little closed initially but opens to citrus and spice characteristics. This wine is unfiltered to retain these unique qualities so may require decanting. Best chilled and not too cold. Excellent with poultry, fish or cheese.
The 2017 Serengale Rose is a distinctive complex wine matured in old French oak barrels. Displays characters of strawberries, cream and turkish delight with a long dry finish. Serve chilled and great with ham, white rinded cheeses, seared salmon, tuna or duck.
Intense fruit characters of plum, berries and damp earth with a hint of pepper, cassis, liquorice and fine tannins. Pairs beautifully with many foods including charcuterie, pork, veal or poultry.
Dark fruits of cassis and blackcurrant on the nose with a complex array of cabernet led characters of lavender and cocoa rounded out with plum and a touch of oak on the palate. Pairs beautifully with red meats, grilled tuna.
We learned in 2011 that Noisy Friar birds love Nebbiolo too! Nebbiolo is the last variety to ripen, and by the time we harvested our crop, the birds had dined out on at least 1/3 of it. We supplemented our harvest with Nebbiolo from our neighbour, Indigo Vineyard.
2012 Virago Nebbiolo
Warm summer days and cool nights, revitalizing rain though out the season....the 2012 is a reflection of near perfect growing conditions.
The 2012 Virago promises a mouthful of fruit on the first swirl, and it does not disappoint.
